Joining
So at this point you’ve read the plot and setting, you have a general grasp of Project K and you want to join, that’s great, this post is simply to make sure everything’s covered. If you have not checked out the rules make sure you do that to prevent any misunderstandings. Everything good there?
Then next is deciding what type of character you want, always exciting and a bit nerve wracking when joining a site hmm? Sometimes it is fun to go ahead and jump in with a canon character, which point check the canon character list and see who is free. If the one you want is free that’s great! Then you just want to fill out the canon application and post it in the applications board.
Non-canon characters are very welcome here on Kingcraft, first step for that is to think of and check to see if the face claim you want is free, look on the face claim list to double check your face is not taken. Now that you have a face you have to figure out what to do with them, are they going to be a clansmen or a strain or an average citizen? Maybe a member of government that is in on everything? General clansmen are always welcome without asking permission, strains are only limited when wanting a higher risk rank or if there becomes a power imbalance on the site. If you are wanting someone in higher power then check out the subdivisions and see if any clan is looking for a particular spot to be filled. Could be anything from fighters to spies or computer specialists. If you are interested in something posted or have an idea for something new then you might want to contact who is in charge of the group. Once you have an idea what you are doing then go ahead and grab the application code and post it in the applications board.
Is there a King position open that you want? Does not matter if you are a brand new member joining us or an existing member, King positions are only limited in the manner that a member can only run a single King. So if you are interested in an open King position then check out the Kings thread and read about them. Once you pick then grab the King application and post it in applications board. Keep in mind that this application is going to need more detail and information than any other character because they are a key player on the site to the plotline. There are specific rules to playing a King, so double check the rules thread if you need to.
No matter what you do not have to post completed profiles in one go! No one expects you to sit through an application in one sitting, if you want to save work on your character but are not finished then just add WIP to the title. That way staff knows not to go poking at it and you can take your time working on your character to get them just how you want. When you are finished then just remove WIP from the title and reply to the thread that you are done. At this point a member of staff will review your character as soon as possible. If there are any questions or concerns then the staff member will contact you directly through forum message.
At this point you just need to wait for a staff member, we sadly have lives outside of rp but one of us will get to you as soon as possible. While you wait why not go ahead and look at the plotting threads for characters, or if your character is in a group go poke through your group’s section and plots. You can toss up your own plot thread at this point.
Once your character is approved please remember to post your face claim, this is important so that there is a listing of what faces are taken and who is free for other members. At this point you are free to join in threads or create your own! If you are unsure what to post then feel free to just hit up someone in your grouping, or check out the open threads listing.
